Join an online W12 international panel discussion about how the shift in global priorities sees water as the key industry for future investment. Urban Water Security in Uncertain Times
Four industries are now set to boom*. International investors are looking at where money will be best spent following the effects and realities of Covid-19. The industries identified for future growth are:
- Water
- Food
- Healthcare
- Green energy
W12 (the Water Congress that was to have taken place on 18 May in Cape Town) is facilitating this online event when seven panellists will discuss the implications of water investment and opportunities presented to meet immediate needs and long-term goals. W12 will also present its ongoing work on a water protocol database. This online event replaces the main W12 Congress, which will be rescheduled when it is safe to travel and gather in person.

About the W12 Congress
The W12 Congresswill be an International Conference and Expo that seeks to create the world’s first “Major City Best Practice Water Protocol” and strengthen the citizen-driven governance of alternative sustainable water solutions.
The Congress will bring together city officials, academics, business executives, water experts, and students from major cities in the world that are likely to face a water crisis scenario, similar to what Cape Town faced. Cape Town was the catalyst to this now urgent global movement, leading the way to manage and solve the world’s water crisis.
